NYX Matte Lipstick Review

Alabama: Rich brick red shade. Classic, sumptuous, and festive. A wonderful option during the fall and winter holidays. Bloody Mary: Red based berry shade. Coquette, juicy, and vibrant. A great year round option for a fun twist on a classic red lip with some added umph. Pure Red: Orange based red shade. Eye catching, feisty, and alluring. This red is fitting for all occasions in need of some vivacity.  Indie Flick: Bright orange shade. Tropical, daring, and vivacious. This shade is the essence of summer in a tube.  Strawberry Daiquiri: A peachy nude shade. Sweet, angelic, and soft. A go to option for an everyday lip.  Sweet Pink: Bright pink with hints of lavender shade. Electric, hypnotizing, and carefree. A lovely spring season option for those who aren’t afraid of some color.  Hello everyone! I hope you’re having a lovely day! Today I’ll be reviewing six of the lipsticks in the NYX matte lipstick collection. These lipsticks have a matte finish as the name implies. They are priced around $6.00 making it readily available to fit anyone’s budget.  This product has …

NYX Butter Gloss Review

Hello everyone! I hope you are all wonderful. I have missed you all tremendously this past week! I was a busy bee studying for exams, but now I am back till finals week. Remember to hop on over to my Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages for updates and fun tidbits in between posts. Today I will be sharing a review on a product I’ve grown incredibly fond of: the NYX Butter Glosses. The entire range has 22 shades at $5.00 each with .27 fl oz of product. They are described as a sheer to medium coverage gloss without being sticky and can be worn alone or over any lipstick. “It’s delicious and gorgeous at the same time.” – NYX Cosmetics My Thoughts I must admit I have been enjoying this products quite a bit! The pigmentation is truly what makes these glosses stellar. Upon first application, the product dispenses rich color though it may not be absolutely precise to the packaging I think the fact that a gloss has so much color makes it outstanding. They …

Burst of Color – BITE Luminous Creme Duo Lipstick Review

Hello everyone! I hope you all are wonderful. Today I will be reviewing the BITE Luminous Creme duo lipstick in Palomino and Violet. Before talking about the product itself I did want to mention and interesting fact about BITE Beauty cosmetics: they take pride in creating not only high performance products, but also edible ones. These particular lipsticks are safe enough to eat. Various articles have claimed that women consume a couple pounds of lipstick within their lifetime and if that is the case then this quality is something to consider. On to the product review! The BITE Luminous Creme Duo Lipstick is a moisture-rich, pigmented cream lipstick that applies true to color and is incredibly opaque. The color range has a very broad palette from neutrals, pinks, reds, and plums. I purchased mine from my local Sephora for $12. I felt it was a reasonable price since it gives you the opportunity to try two great quality lip products without making a larger investment. The two shades that come in the “mini lipstick” are Palomino and Violet. …

Poolside Colors – Revlon Matte Lip Balm Review

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful day! I’ve recently been testing three shades out of the ten from the Revlon Colorburst Matte Lip Balm line in Unapologetic, Shameless, and Striking. These lipsticks can be purchased for about $8.00 at your local drugstore. Pros:  All the shades are beautifully pigmented and apply quite opaque. Affordability within any budget range as well as accessibility in where to purchase. A true matte texture with absolutely no shine as promised by the claims. The colors are long lasting and incredibly vibrant. I enjoy the packaging and design of the actual product. It’s easy to distinguish the color when looking through your makeup collection. The chubby stick design is brilliant since the finer tip makes for a more accurate application. The colors are perfect for the spring and summer! Cons: Due to it’s matte texture, you must make sure your lips are not dry as it will highlight the dry patches. Shameless is the least forgiving of the three shades I have tried. Since the pigment is …

Romantic Shades for my February Haul

Hello everyone! I hope you all are well. I decided to do something a bit different for this post and put together a beauty product haul for this month so far! I just want to note that this is not a full review of each product. I will be reviewing each in depth in the near future and will also be introducing makeup tutorials to my blog where I will feature these products. Everything, with exception of the Maybelline Gel Liner bought in Walmart, was purchased in Ulta. My quick thoughts on the products: Stila “The Natural” Palette I love the soft colors in this palette. I am a sucker for pink based tones in my eyeshadows and this fit the bill perfectly. It is comprised of three matte shades and three shimmer making it perfect to create a day or night look rather easily. Due to that and it’s small size, it definitely seems travel friendly. My only negative is that the bronzer is a tad too light for my skin tone, but I …

Revlon’s Black Cherry Super Lustrous Lipstick Review

Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well! I apologize for the recent disappearance. I have been home preparing for Thanksgiving with my family and enjoying my small break. I have been searching for the perfect “vampy” lip color for the fall and winter season; I came across Revlon’s Super Lustrous lipstick in Black Cherry and I will be sharing my opinion on the product. The lipstick can be purchased at your local drugstore for  $5.00 and is part of their permanent collection. You can purchase the lipstick here as well. Pros: The color glides on smoothly. Has the ability to be worn sheer or opaque depending on your preference. A wine color that is perfect for the holiday and fall/winter seasons. The affordable price makes it readily available for all budget ranges. Packaging is lightweight, simple, and classically designed. Cons: The lipstick lacks the amount of pigment I was expecting. It has a nice color, but it pales it comparison to what I thought when I looked at the lipstick bullet. I feel this lipstick is …
