OOTD – An Afternoon Stroll in Floral

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a lovely day. Before sharing the outfit details I wanted to announce that the polish poll has been closed! The winner has been announced on the Facebook , Twitter, and Instagram pages so head over to see which Masglo polish it was! Thank you to everyone that took a moment to vote. I have recently been inspired by the 50’s silhouette with the floral skirts and sleeveless collared blouses. I paired a floral knee length skirt with a simple white eyelet blouse. The neutral top allows the colorful bottom to truly pop and be the center of attention. The afternoons have been extremely warm so a pair of open cut heels will allow the feet to feel a bit cooler. With the sun being so harsh recently, I threw on a floppy hat to keep my skin safe during my afternoon stroll around the museum gardens. -Outfit- Thrifted Blouse // Xhilaration Floral Skirt // G by Guess Heels Until next time. My Travel Bag – South Florida Bound

Hello everyone! I hope you are all wonderful today. Today I will be traveling home to spend a lovely week with my family. I am thrilled to relax and enjoy my small break, but I have heard that it’s been raining terribly! Hopefully it will let up so I can enjoy some afternoons by the pool. I wanted to share some packing basics that I will be bringing on my trip so let’s get to it! 1. Lightweight blouses  As you can probably guess, South Florida is overwhelmingly hot during the summer so packing lightweight blouses and tank tops is essential to keep from melting in the sun. Here I packed two semi sheer blouses with color and floral that embody the summer feel and allow air to move through it. What I love about those two blouses is the ease in dressing them up or down for any occasion. The third blouse is made of a gorgeous black lace. I always pack a blouse that would be great for an evening dinner out. 2. …

Julep Color Inspiration Contest – A Pretty Day in Pink

My morning comes around as the sunrise slowly chases the moon away unveiling soft golden hues sprinkled with dashes of warm rose and orange. The flowers outside my window illuminate and burst back into life and color.  The day begins in shades of pink… My day’s preparation begins with adding pink touches to my makeup. There is such a beautiful balance between pairing shades of pink together for a look. The soft hues add a delicate glow to the skin and highlight your features without distorting. Pink has such a powerful ability to be refined yet playful. My favorite way to add pink in my beauty routine is through blushes, lipsticks, and nail polishes! A morning is never quite complete without a warm cup of coffee or tea; the soft aroma cradling the room inviting you to sit and enjoy its presence and taste.  I love a blend between coffee and milk while admiring the spring blossoms outside. Taking a moment out of your day to appreciate on the beauty that surrounds you is truly a wonderful experience. While taking a stroll …

OOTD – Watercolor Blouse

Happy Monday everyone! I hope it is a beautiful day where you are and that your Father’s Day was quite lovely. I wanted to start the morning off by sharing my outfit with all of you before announcing the exciting project I have been working on! Today I paired a peplum watercolor blouse with a black tulle skirt. The dark bottom allows the vibrancy of the blouse to standout beautifully. By tucking in the flare from the peplum, it redefined and created the illusion of a  narrower waist. I did not want the shoes to distract from the overall look so I paired nude heels to elongate my legs and finish off the outfit. Now on to the exciting news!  Julep reached out to me recently and asked if I wanted to partake in a competition they are holding. I was absolutely delighted to be given the opportunity. I will be sharing my post with you shortly so hang tight in the mean time! -Outfit- Violet & Claire Blouse // Xhilaration Skirt Nine West Nude Heels …

Color Collage – Orange Blossoms

Hello everyone! I hope you are lovely today. A big color for the summer is orange and I have been enjoying incorporating small touches orange of  in my outfits, beauty routine, and home. I have been particularly enjoying the red/orange lip shades recently. They add such a fun pop of color and truly embody the warmth of the season. My current favorite lip color is Revlon’s Matte Lip Balm in Striking (reviewed here). I rarely find orange tulips so I when I stumbled across this bouquet my jaw dropped! The orange hue instantly illuminated the room and added the perfect summer touch to the space. I will be picking up some more flowers soon and would love to know what you all recommend! Have any of you had the opportunity to check out the Humans of New York book? It is truly a magical book with inspiring photographs! I love to glance through it when I brain storm new ideas. You never know what you’ll find in it! The two polishes featured in today’s post are …

Faintly Floral – Cabotine Rose Perfume Review

Hello lovelies! I hope you all are marvelous today. There is something wonderful about the fresh, delicate aroma of flowers in a garden. Scents diffusing gently in the air and filling your senses with pleasantry along with a feeling of calm and cheerfulness. A perfume has the ability to capture such a sensation in small glass bottle. Today, I will be sharing my favorite perfume that embodies the beauty, softness, and loveliness of a flower. Cabotine Rose is a soft floral scent launched in 2003 as another variation to the original Cabotine perfume. According to Fragantica site, the fragrance has notes consisting of: Top Notes- black currant, mandarin orange, cherry blossom, and pear Middle Notes – peony, mimose, tuberose, orange blossom, lily, pepper, jasmine, and rose Base Notes – sandalwood, musk, vetiver, and frangipani I do detect the delicate floral scents the most whereas the fruit blends are a bit more hidden. I personally love the mingling of the noticeable notes of rose, peony, cherry blossom, and hints of pepper blended with a certain faint sweetness that balances the overall …

Burst of Color – BITE Luminous Creme Duo Lipstick Review

Hello everyone! I hope you all are wonderful. Today I will be reviewing the BITE Luminous Creme duo lipstick in Palomino and Violet. Before talking about the product itself I did want to mention and interesting fact about BITE Beauty cosmetics: they take pride in creating not only high performance products, but also edible ones. These particular lipsticks are safe enough to eat. Various articles have claimed that women consume a couple pounds of lipstick within their lifetime and if that is the case then this quality is something to consider. On to the product review! The BITE Luminous Creme Duo Lipstick is a moisture-rich, pigmented cream lipstick that applies true to color and is incredibly opaque. The color range has a very broad palette from neutrals, pinks, reds, and plums. I purchased mine from my local Sephora for $12. I felt it was a reasonable price since it gives you the opportunity to try two great quality lip products without making a larger investment. The two shades that come in the “mini lipstick” are Palomino and Violet. …
