OOTD – Enjoying the Lakeside on a Crisp Afternoon

Hello everyone! I hope all of you are wonderful today! With the start of a new, busy semester I’ve been trying to figure out the best posting schedule. As soon as it’s set, I’ll let you all know. On to the outfit! Today I kept the look rather simple while visiting the lovely gardens and lake. My focal point of the outfit was the floral bag so I decided to keep the rest based on a more neutral color palette. I paired a black, ruffled front blouse with a dark wash jean to create a clean line from top to bottom. I cuffed my jeans and wore a cutout heel since it was a bit warmer outside. The lightweight tan trench provides just enough warmth as the sun goes down. My accessories were kept simple as usual. I love layering delicate necklaces together to create a cascading effect. It makes a subtle statement and adds visual interest to the upper half of the outfit. The earrings, among my favorites, create such a wonderful statement without …

OOTD – Bundling Up for a Floridian Winter Wonderland

Hello everyone! I hope you all are well! A sudden cold front swept through Florida making the high only 35 degrees. It may not be a snowy winter wonderland, but it was certainly cold for Florida! My outfit revolves around staying warm yet put together for a busy day. The key to today’s pairing is layering. On top I added a cream cable knit sweater that is a bit more loose making it comfortable for running all day doing errands or in my case, classes. The final layer is the black jacket. This truly blocks cold wind from getting passed the other layers and adds a put-together element due to its blazer structure.  The boots have a small, chunky heel making it a …

OOTD – Winter Whites and Dusty Pinks

Hello everyone! I hope all of you are great today. It feels wonderful to be back with you all! Today’s pairing was something more casual and simple that would be perfect for lunch with some lovely friends or holiday shopping. I paired the white blouse with a white wool scarf to add not only warmth, but also a visual interest to the upper half of my body without being too jarring against the light colors of the overall outfit. The dusty pink jeans keep the overall look soft while still adding a pinch of vibrancy to the outfit. The white heels tie the upper and lower half together cohesively. Fun picture of the day: A candid photograph while I was doing a few test shots and thought the camera was done snapping pictures! -Outfit-  Merona Double Layer Tee [Target – Similar] Hot Kiss Dusty Pink Jeans [Marshall’s – $15] White Wool Scarf [Gift from Colombia] Until next time.
