OOTD – Capes

Hello everyone! I hope you are wonderful today. I have recently been obsessed with cape coats. I love the shapeless yet structured element of it’s design that adds an interesting architectural quality to any look. The key to styling cape coats is to used fitted pieces such as a form fitting dress, skirt, or in this case jeans. Since the upper half has more volume and movement, it’s key to balance the lower half with something more fitted. I have been loving this fun twist on a classic look, how do you feel about cape coats? – Outfit details – New York & Company Cape Coat || Call It Spring Heels || Guess Clutch || Revlon Matte Balm in Shameless || Bauble Bar Juniper Jacket Earrings Photographer: Austen Emser Until next time. OOTD – Cozy Knits and Leopard Print

Hello everyone! I hope all of you are lovely today. Before we dive into today’s post, I wanted to share exciting news with all of you. I have a final interview coming up on Thursday and I am absolutely overjoyed! I will keep all of you updated on how it all unravels. Keep your fingers crossed! I cannot begin to describe how thrilled I was to feel the cold air shaking up the usual Florida heat. Recently, I went thrift shopping and found this amazing knit scarf that came just in handy with the sudden cold front moving in. I practically want to live in it, it’s so cozy! The scarf was the basis to my outfit and what I used to select particular pieces. I paired the scarf with a leopard print skirt to create a soft palette of warm, fall neutrals. I find myself particularly drawn to leopard print during this time of year. I am not quite sure what it is, but I adore the print during the cooler seasons; don’t you? I paired the two pieces with a …

OOTD – Garden Daydreams

Hello everyone! I hope you are lovely today. The other day I took a walk through a local garden and was absolutely infatuated with the blooms and warmth of the sun. The pairing I kept rather simple using light fabrics to mimic the rather whimsical feel of the garden. The poppy flower print of the blouse coupled with the slouched cut of the shoulder makes for a fun, carefree look. In order to add a bit more structure to the look I simply tucked it in and added a white rope belt to reinforce the cinched waist. Though it is fall, I feel floral prints are wonderful year round and I tremendously enjoy them . There was nothing more beautiful than spending an afternoon indulging in the grass beneath my feet and the sun upon my shoulders. – Outfit Details – Cato Skirt (Thrifted) | Jones New York Blouse (Thrifted) | White Leather Belt (Thrifted) | Nine West Heels Until next time. OOTD – Playing with Pattern

Banana Republic Blouse | Cynthia Rowling Shorts | The Limited Kisses Scarf | X-Appeal Caged Heels | NYX Matte Lipstick in Alabama Hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying a lovely day. I am thrilled to share another look with all of you! Today I decided to play with patterns. It was surprisingly nice outside in Florida so I was delighted to be able to pair my look with a scarf. When playing with different patterns, I tend to keep it in the same color family. As you notice, the blouse and shorts combine both black and white creating a sense of unity. I love the deep navy blue of the scarf against the black and white. Though it may appear an unlikely match, I find it breaks up the monotony and adds a dash of interest. The shoes bring the entire look together by adding another red element that pairs wonderfully with the scarf. As a final note, if you decide to play with print I would recommend pairing within the same color family …

Falling Head Over Heels – Top Five Shoes

Hello everyone! I hope you are all lovely today! Today I wanted to share my top five shoes in my closet that I adore using. Let’s get started! Nu – The Nude Heels Nine West Heels | French Connection Blouse | Shiseido Lipstick in Perfect Rouge | No. 7 Natural Powder Blush in Honey | Timex Watch A nude heel offers versatility and a touch of sophistication in an overall look. The beauty in a nude heel comes from it’s ability to elongate the legs. It allows the eyes to move down and not be obstructed by any color allowing for a very streamlined look. A nude heel can be paired with a variety of looks ranging from dark to light. I think it is a wonderful substitute for a black heel in a darker ensemble such as a little black dress. OOTD – Mesh

Banana Republic Blouse | Express Mesh Insert Skirt | Call It Spring Heels | Guess Clutch Hello everyone!  I hope you are all lovely today. Today’s outfit revolves around the mesh insert skirt that I recently purchased from Express. I saw higher end brands release skirts in a similar silhouette and was on the search for a more affordable option. I decided to play with the horizontal lines in this outfit to highlight the mesh panel. I paired the skirt  with a horizontal striped blouse to keep all the lines parallel. The heels keep the theme going by having the multiple horizontal straps. The clutch has an angular cut keeping the  harmony with the lines found in the rest of the outfit. I absolutely adore this skirt. I feel there is something so modestly alluring about the mesh panel. It shows the right amount of skin without being overbearing and adds an interesting architectural element to the skirt. Until next time. Take care! OOTD – Working with Simplicity

Hello everyone! I hope you are all wonderful today! Today’s look I kept rather simple and decided to play with a simple color palette of black, white, nude, and touches of gold. The skirt (seen in the last haul) has a form hugging , simple silhouette. The stripes and fit  accentuate an hourglass figure wonderfully and do a lovely job of defining the right curves. I am loving the asymmetrical hemline! It adds a great architectural quality to the skirt making it visually interesting. The black v-neck blouse elongates the neck and draws the eye down the rest of the look which is topped off with nude heels and a simple black purse for essentials. Thanks for reading! Until next time. Take care! Alice…xoxo Miss Alice Beauty on: Facebook | Twitter | Instagram | Bloglovin’

Haul – Back to Black

Hello everyone! I hope all of you are enjoying your day so far. Today I wanted to share a few of my recent purchases. Lately I have been enjoying a simple palette of black and white with small touches of color. This pairing is fail-proof and wonderful year round. I have been in love with these buckled leather pumps by Gianvito Rossi, but they were well over my budget. During my shopping trips I came across the Lupicciana heels and was instantly reminded of the Gianvito Rossi pair. The shape of the point as well as the width and height of the heel were identical. The main differences would include the number of straps and the more enclosed rim of the shoes as a whole. Overall, I feel these shoes mimic the Gianvito Rossi pair beautifully for a fraction of the price ($20!) and I’m thrilled to share many looks with all of you using them! I have been obsessed with this style of skirt from Tibi but once again it was beyond my budget so …
