OOTD – Playing with Pattern

Banana Republic Blouse | Cynthia Rowling Shorts | The Limited Kisses Scarf | X-Appeal Caged Heels | NYX Matte Lipstick in Alabama Hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying a lovely day. I am thrilled to share another look with all of you! Today I decided to play with patterns. It was surprisingly nice outside in Florida so I was delighted to be able to pair my look with a scarf. When playing with different patterns, I tend to keep it in the same color family. As you notice, the blouse and shorts combine both black and white creating a sense of unity. I love the deep navy blue of the scarf against the black and white. Though it may appear an unlikely match, I find it breaks up the monotony and adds a dash of interest. The shoes bring the entire look together by adding another red element that pairs wonderfully with the scarf. As a final note, if you decide to play with print I would recommend pairing within the same color family …

Color Collage – Paint it Black

Hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying your day. As we slowly begin transitioning to fall I thought I’d share a color collage that embraces the new season. Black is a timeless color that adds an effortless touch to any look and something I have been enjoying quite a bit recently. I am thrilled for the cooler seasons to roll in! I am done with summer and ready to take out warm knits and scarves. Are you excited for fall? Until next time. Take care! E.l.f. HD Blush “Encore” Review

Hello everyone! I hope all of you are wonderful today! I am thrilled to be back sharing yet another review post. Today we will be looking at e.l.f.’s HD Blush in Encore. This cream product retails for $3.00 and can be purchased at Target or the e.l.f. cosmetics website. Packaging The container is surprisingly small containing .34 fl ounces of product. It is made of a lightweight plastic material and has a squeeze pump. The squeeze pump seems to be both a positive and a negative. I love it for hygienic purposes, but find that it can dispense too much product if you’re not light handed when you push down. I like the iconic simplicity of e.l.f.’s packaging. It feels clean, fresh, and modern. Cream Blush The pigmentation of this blush is unbelievable. I was absolutely astonished when I tried it out initially! The color is precise to what you see in the tube. It is rich, creamy, and astoundingly opaque. As you notice in the swatch, I simply put the smallest fraction on the the back …

E.l.f. Concealer and Angled Eyeliner Brush Review

Hello everyone! I hope all of you are well today! Today’s post will sharing my overall thoughts on the two e.l.f. brushes I recently purchased: the flawless concealer brush and angled eyeliner brush. Let’s Begin! Flawless Concealer Brush This brush has a tapered dome shape with a flexible rounded top half. It appears to mimic the shape of a usually smaller blending eye shadow brush. The soft bristle allows for a nonabrasive application of product on the skin. I have absolutely fallen in love with this brush! The quality and texture is superb for the mere $3.00 price and mimics the characteristics of a high end brush. I had originally been using the e.l.f small stipple brush and though it is also wonderful, this brush is able to work into every corner and area of my dark circles without disrupting my foundation or causing my flake prone skin to flare up. The soft bristles seamlessly blend my concealer (Benefit’s Erase Paste) flawlessly without absorbing too much of the product in to the bristles themselves. My favorite way …

Falling Head Over Heels – Top Five Shoes

Hello everyone! I hope you are all lovely today! Today I wanted to share my top five shoes in my closet that I adore using. Let’s get started! Nu – The Nude Heels Nine West Heels | French Connection Blouse | Shiseido Lipstick in Perfect Rouge | No. 7 Natural Powder Blush in Honey | Timex Watch A nude heel offers versatility and a touch of sophistication in an overall look. The beauty in a nude heel comes from it’s ability to elongate the legs. It allows the eyes to move down and not be obstructed by any color allowing for a very streamlined look. A nude heel can be paired with a variety of looks ranging from dark to light. I think it is a wonderful substitute for a black heel in a darker ensemble such as a little black dress. Noir – The Black Heels  Forever 21 Heels | Givenchy Lipstick | Anne Klien Watch Diamond Collection | NYX Blush in Mocha | Banana Republic Earrings | Thrifted Blouse Black is a timeless …

Nails – Masglo’s Caprichosa Review

Hello everyone! I hope you are wonderful today. Finally I am announcing the Summertime Hues Polish Poll winner: Masglo’s Caprichosa! This shade is an electric coral with  a warm pink undertone. It is the perfect color for those of you still holding on to the ends of summer. I feel it would complement all skin tones wonderfully. Here I applied two generous coats of the polish over my Sally Hansen Double Duty Base and Top Coat (I also added a coat of this on top for additional shine and longevity). The application was relatively opaque with minor streaking that was corrected with the second coat. The lasting power in terms of chipping I would say is comparable to that of an Essie or OPI polish. Overall, this is a wonderful shade! It is a sumptuous and lively polish for these warm summer days . Unfortunately, the only drawback is the availability. They are sold in Colombia, but if you are traveling make sure to grab this shade! Until next time. Take care!  Alice…xoxo Miss Alice Beauty on: Facebook | Twitter | Instagram | Bloglovin’
