Hello everyone! I hope you all are well!
A sudden cold front swept through Florida making the high only 35 degrees. It may not be a snowy winter wonderland, but it was certainly cold for Florida! My outfit revolves around staying warm yet put together for a busy day.
The key to today’s pairing is layering. I find myself preferring to layer, rather than putting on one heavy jacket, because I feel it provides not only better warmth but the opportunity to play with different fabric textures. My base layer is a snug cotton long sleeve; this provides a warm, almost protective layer that prevents wind for penetrating. On top I added a cream cable knit sweater that is a bit more loose making it comfortable for running all day doing errands or in my case, classes. The final layer is the black jacket. This truly blocks cold wind from getting passed the other layers and adds a put-together element due to its blazer structure. The boots have a small, chunky heel making it a breeze to walk during a busy day and keeps your toes toasty! A scarf is a necessity for me. Here I took a chunky wool scarf [last seen here] and wrapped it twice around my neck and hid the ends within the scarf making it appear as though it were an infinity scarf.
Fun picture of the day: I am loving the warm vanilla candle from Bath & Body Works! It creates a cozy atmosphere during these chilly days. Thank you to my boyfriend’s mom for giving me this lovely candle for the holidays!
