Today I wanted to share a fall makeup look inspired by the warm gold and red hues in the leaves. I feel this look would work wonderfully for an evening out or for a daytime event if you are feeling daring.
Lorac Pro Palette, Stila “The Natural” Palette, NYX Jumbo Pencil in Cashmere, No.7 Natural Blush in Honey, NYC Liquid Eyeliner, Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara, Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk, and Kate Moss for Rimmel Lipstink in 09, L’Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation, and Benefit’s Erase Paste
I am starting with my foundation and concealer already applied to my skin. I have also done my eyebrows mixing the brown, black, and taupe shade from the Lorac Pro Palette.
Step 1: Apply the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk all over the eyelid using a flat synthetic brush. This will help the later eyeshadows last longer since it created a sticky base for them to adhere to. Make sure to blend evenly.
Step 2: Next take a warm taupe shade and blend the edges into the crease with a dome shaped brush. This will create a soft transition color for our later shadows. Take your time blending since this step is fundamental to tying the look together and diminishing any harsh lines.
Step 3: Take a rusty shade and apply it to the outer and inner part of the eyelid and blend it into the crease with a flat shader brush. Avoid the center of the eyelid as we’ll be applying another shade there.
Step 4: Now apply a warm toned gold in the center of the eyelid. Using the previous dome shaped brush in step 1, use it to soften the edges between the gold and rust shades. Take your time with this step to avoid harsh edges.
Step 5: Repeat the previous steps on the lower lash line to mirror the eyelid. Use the same taupe shade to blend the bottom edge.
Step 6: Apply your liquid liner of choice to your upper lash line. Keep the line and wing petite. We simply want to ground the look and thicken the lash line to give the illusion of more full lashes.
Step 7: I wanted to keep the water line light so I applied a gold liner along the rim. This helps widen the eye and give it a more lively appearance. You could add a black or deep brown for a more sultry evening look. I think it would look absolutely beautiful that way as well.
Step 8: Take a lighter toned warm gold and apply it to the inner corner to brighten up the area.
Step 9: Liberally apply mascara to the upper and lower lash line. This would be the time to apply false lashes if you prefer.
You can stop here if you prefer a nude lip! Finish off with a warm peach blush with light brown undertones and your favorite nude lip product. I wanted to take it to the next level with a berry toned lipstick.
Step 10: Apply the Rimmel by Kate Moss lipstick in 09 all over the lips. Take your time with this as bold lipsticks can be very unforgiving when it comes to application. Use a precision brush to clean the edges with some concealer and blot your lips to remove excess.
Step 11: Apply a warm peach blush to the cheeks. This blush has light brown undertones making it wonderful to add some color without overwhelming or competing with neither the eyes nor lips. Apply your bronzer/contour and highlight now as well.
Here is the final look!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial as much as I enjoyed creating it for you! Though it is not exactly feeling like fall here in Florida it does not mean you can’t incorporate some touches of it into your look.
Comment below if you prefer the look with nude or berry lips!
Until next time. Take care!
