Hello everyone! I hope you are all wonderful today.
Today I will be traveling home to spend a lovely week with my family. I am thrilled to relax and enjoy my small break, but I have heard that it’s been raining terribly! Hopefully it will let up so I can enjoy some afternoons by the pool.
I wanted to share some packing basics that I will be bringing on my trip so let’s get to it!
1. Lightweight blouses
As you can probably guess, South Florida is overwhelmingly hot during the summer so packing lightweight blouses and tank tops is essential to keep from melting in the sun. Here I packed two semi sheer blouses with color and floral that embody the summer feel and allow air to move through it. What I love about those two blouses is the ease in dressing them up or down for any occasion. The third blouse is made of a gorgeous black lace. I always pack a blouse that would be great for an evening dinner out.
2. Makeup Essentials
I try to keep my makeup packing to a minimum, but it is such a challenge! Does anyone have this problem too? I always bring so many lip products with me. My absolute must haves would include my beloved Lorac Pro palette, Covergirl Clump crusher mascara, Wet and Wild highlight in Reserve your Cabana, NYX Jumbo pencils in Milk and Cashmere, L’Oreal True Match foundation, Benefits Erase Paste, and my recent obsession: the Revlon Matte Lip Balms (reviewed here).
3. Sun Block
This is an absolute must not just for packing, but for everyday regardless of location or season! I have been loving my Banana Boat Natural sun screen with an SPF of 50. I have very sensitive, dry skin and this has been working like a charm!
I have shared my summer packing checklist with all of you. If you think something is missing, we’d all love to know! Comment below with any additional packing tips and items for the list.
Have a safe trip!
Until next time. Take care!
