OOTD – Dressing Down a Pencil Skirt

Hello everyone! I hope you all are lovely today!

With Memorial Day right around the corner I decided to make an outfit that incorporated the colors red, white, and blue but also add a dash of leopard to the mix.

Today I decided to pair my red pencil skirt (last seen here) in a more casual manner. I paired a simple white blouse with the skirt to keep my palette simple and allow the red to take center stage. The blouse’s v -neck quality elongates the body by drawing the eye down and also adds to a more slender look. I didn’t want my outfit to get too dull so I threw on a pair of chunky leopard print heels. I adore the combo of red and leopard together! The colors compliment each other wonderfully. I threw on a jean jacket that adds structure to the look without being appearing over done.

Thank you to all the soldiers who have lost their  lives for our country. I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday with family and friends!

What are your plans to celebrate?
